I am from mixing bowls and Chocolate Chips,

Salmon and Baked Potatoes,

and candles burning in our home every evening.

I am from dogs that love to chase birds,

Finches being fed from our bird feeders,

and trees dancing in the wind.

I am from a neighborhood of friendly folk,

Kids that that ride bikes and ask my children to join,

and Garage Sale signs posted on every street corner.

I am from a grandma that I love,

who my mother loves without a doubt,

the one who can never stops talking.
